Kettlebell Swing Do's and Don'ts

Follow these simple tips for learning the kettlebell swing in no time.  The video below shows a group of newbies taking up the swing at Red Rocks Amphitheatre after a quick 1-minute primer.  Soft, weight adjustable kettlebells saved the day! 

    

Do:
- Maintain heel contact with the floor at all times.
- Focus on pushing your hips back during the down swing.

Don't:
- DO NOT allow the wrist to travel below the knee line.

TIP: If using one hand, try alternating hands at the top of the swing pendulum for an added challenge.
