Do you pack your workout gear when you travel?

Here's a shout-out to all the Super Moms out there!  You know who you are ;) ...

  • You help maintain a household, while still maintaining yourself.
  • Vacation equals = mental and physical reset so you can enjoy your escape and feel recharged when you get back!
  • A vacation isn't an excuse to forget you still enjoy taking care of your body.

Need some ideas for where to go and what to do?  Here's a solid short-list put together by HealthandFitnessTravel.com.  Based out of Australia, most of their picks cover that region, including Bali ;)  Nonetheless very worth perusing.  

For ideas closer to home, we singled out the following.  All with great flight-service to and from major airports and replete with plenty of exciting sights and attractions to keep things interesting.   

SpaClub Passport at Canyon Ranch, Las Vegas (they also have locations in Tuscon, Lenox, Massachusetts, and Kaplankaya, Turkey.

Carillon Hotel in Miami Beach features a two-story indoor rock-climbing wall, over 40 classes to choose from daily and more.

La Quinta Resort Spa Getaway (in the desert between San Diego and Los Angeles) is one of our faves ;)  Why?  Well, not only because they carry a complete line of PKBs but the scenery, serenity and ambiance of the southern California desert is world-class.  Note: ideal between November thru May.

Finally, we had to include DailyBurn's list of 7 Fitness Retreats.  In case you've never heard of DailyBurn (what?!), they publish a very popular 7-day-a-week workout series.  Their list covers a wide range of destinations and most very reasonably priced for what you get.  Check it out!

So there you have it, some great ideas to help recharge and rest the soul of the Super Mom.  She deserves it ;)

I’m a big fan of working out whenever I’m travelling or on vacation.

You can still get a decent workout with just your bodyweight, such as this one for the ladies:
